Hindi Diwas : 14 September
Hindi Diwas or Hindi Day is observed every year on 14 September to mark the popularity of Hindi as an official language of India.
- It was on this day in 1949 that the constituent assembly adopted Hindi written in Devanagari as the official language of the country.
- The language was adopted under Article 343 of the Indian Constitution.
- Hindi is the fourth most spoken language of the world.
- The first Hindi day was celebrated on 14th September 1953.
- Suga received 377 votes in the ruling Liberal Democratic Party election to pick a successor to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who announced last month that he would resign due to health problems.

- A blood clot is a clump of blood that's turned to a solid state. Deep vein blood clots typically form in your thigh or lower leg, but they can also develop in other areas of your body.
- The formation of a blood clot in a deep vein, usually in the legs or Deep Vein Thrombosis can lead to life threatening complications.
- The Ministry of Science and Technology in a statement said that scientists have come up with a device that can facilitate flow of blood from the veins in the legs thus preventing DVT.
- The device can bring relief to patients affected by prolonged immobility, bed ridden state, post-operative immobilization and paralysis of legs.
- Such devices which are so far imported cost between 2 lakh to 5 lakh rupees whereas the device developed by SCTIMST team can be placed in the market for less than one lakh rupees.
- The projects include, the Durgapur-Banka section of the Paradip-Haldia-Durgapur Pipeline Augmentation Project and two LPG Bottling Plants in East Champaran and Banka.
- The Bottling Plants will empower the Atmanirbhar Bihar' by meeting the rising demand for LPG in the state.
- LPG Bottling Plants in East Champaran and Banka have a combined bottling capacity of 80 thousand cylinders per day.
- The Banka Plant will serve Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Araria, Kishanganj and Katihar districts in Bihar and Godda, Deoghar, Dumka, Sahibganj and Pakur districts in the neighbouring Jharkhand .
- Similarly, the East Champaran Plant will serve over five lakh consumers in East and West Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Siwan, Gopalganj and Sitamarhi in Bihar and Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh.
- It will provide security to the high court, district courts, administrative offices and buildings, Metro rail, airports, banks, financial institutions, educational institutions and industrial units.
- The state government has issued orders for the constitution of the force and a roadmap in this regard has been sought from the UP DGP.
- The basis of this force is an order of the High Court, which had ordered that there should be a specialised force for civil courts.
- Five battalions will be constituted in the first phase and it will be headed by an ADG-ranked officer.
- On December 18, 2019, the Allahabad High Court had pulled up the Uttar Pradesh government over a shootout at a Bijnor courtroom.

- The SEZ would be focussed on four sectors, including agro-based processing such as food processing, rubber, bamboo and textile sector.
- This SEZ, which would make Tripura a self-reliant state, would generate around 5,000 jobs, and the farmers and traders would benefit from it the most.

- The scheme will be launched on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
- Under this scheme, over 10-lakh women would be given interest-free financial loan.
- Under the scheme, about one lakh ‘Joint Liability and Earning Women Groups’ would be setup in the state.
- Of which, 50,000 groups would be made in rural areas and the rest in urban zones.
- Each group would consist of 10 women as partners. Each group would be given a loan of Rs 1 lakh. Thus, 10 lakh women would be given loans, in a phased manner, in total amounting to Rs 1,000 crore.
